A4 Paper Dimensions
Standard ISO A4 paper dimensions are 210mm x 297mm. A4 size uses The most common paper size in use, A4 is used as a standard size for letterheads worldwide. A single sheet of A4 can also be used as (among many other things) a four page A5 document or a six page DL roll-fold or z-fold brochure (finished size 99mm x 210mm).  A4 templates - InDesign downloads (version CS) and Quark downloads (version 5) When setting up Quark or InDesign documents, just as important as the document size is the need for correctly positioned margins, gutters and bleed (if required). Below are some typical documents set up in InDesign and Quark which might speed up your production process. Please note that when producing a six page DL brochure / leaflet, the pages are not all set up a 99mm wide. This is to take into account the folding process - if all pages were exactly 99mm wide, the edges would not line up after folding had been finished. Each document has been set up with guides in place as well as 5mm bleed throughout. InDesign is great at adding bleed marks and guides, but Quark is not so great - so we've done it for you. The A5 four page document has been set up with four A5 facing pages rather than a single A4 landscape page. All files are compressed with a .zip suffix.
